The paleo diet has been picking up momentum in popularity, which is awesome! Yay for us all wanting to be healthy.

For those of you who have no idea about the paleo diet or if you just kind of know, but are unsure about some things, no worries,
I got you covered!

What is a paleo diet?

In a nutshell, it is eating whole natural foods. You may hear the saying “eat like a caveman, (or cave woman.)” This just means eating food that you would find in nature. When you are grocery shopping, try to stick to the perimeter of the store. There you will find the fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood. All the processed and packaged foods live in the middle aisles, so try to avoid going there if possible. You should also avoid consuming grains and dairy.

I started this diet about two months ago, and I was around 130lbs. Since then, I have lost 7lbs!!!! I am feeling leaner, and I have so much more energy throughout the day. I feel like I can focus more on work and concentrate on completing my goals. If you are someone who is looking for a change in your life and you want to start eating healthy, I highly recommend switching to the paleo lifestyle.

When I first started the diet, I thought there was not a lot I could eat. I was wrong! I love cooking and preparing my meals! Below I have listed the food that I am eating. You will see I do break one of the paleo rules because I do love goat cheese 🙂

I have an almond milk latte or regular coffee with a dash of almond milk. If you are someone who has never tried an almond milk latte, I can not recommend them enough! The almond milk gives it a sweetness, so you don’t have to add sugar. Plus, It’s half the calories of a regular latte.

I freaking love desert! I think it’s unfortunate when people are trying to lose weight and “diet,” they believe that they can’t have anything sweet. But guys, I eat chocolate every day! I love dark chocolate covered almonds. I am searching for a paleo version, so if you know of any good brands comment below with the link.

Remember: Stay Hydrated

I try to drink 3-4 liters of water a day. On trick that has helped me is carrying a big water bottle around with me everywhere I go. Water is an essential part of weight loss because it keeps your body moving and boost your metabolism.

Well, that’s all I have for today. If you guys have any suggestions on what you would like me to write about next, go ahead and drop me a line in the comment box. I put out new content every week, so until next time. Byyyyeeeee
